Our Story
Bancy knows what good healthcare looks like — and what happens when it fails.
As a trained nurse in some of Kenya’s leading hospitals, she spent years on the frontline. She saw skilled clinicians, proper protocols, patients recovering and going home. She also saw the gaps — care falling short, patients slipping through cracks, families left to figure things out alone after discharge.
In 2019, that gap became personal. Bancy lost both grandparents to diabetes. Not to the disease — to negligence. Warning signs missed. Interventions too late. With better, more consistent care, they could have had more time.
That loss moved the question from “someone should do something” to “I’m going to.”
Crystal Homecare started as a project to bridge the gap between hospital-grade care and what patients actually receive at home. It was built on a simple conviction: the quality of care a patient receives should not depend on whether they are inside a hospital or sitting in their own living room.

Care should be nurse-led, not task-led.
A caregiver following a checklist is not the same as a nurse managing a patient. Clinical oversight is what separates professional home care from hired help.
Families deserve to see what’s happening.
If you’re paying for care, you should be able to see it. Reports, visit confirmations, and direct access to your coordinator are not premium features — they’re the baseline.
Pricing should be honest.
Hidden pricing protects the provider, not the family. We publish our rates because families making difficult decisions deserve clarity, not a sales funnel.

Bancy — Founder
Trained nurse with clinical experience in Kenya’s leading hospitals. After losing both grandparents to preventable complications in 2019, she founded Crystal Homecare to deliver the standard of care she knew was possible — but saw too many patients go without.
Under her leadership, Crystal Homecare has grown to a team of 30+ caregivers, established discharge partnerships with Luton Hospital, RFH, and Zuri Health, and delivered over 50,000 hours of home-based care across Nairobi.
